Why it becomes difficult to connect with people as we grow?

Have you ever felt as if you are floating away from your friends and other people that really mattered in your life?

Have you reached a position, when picking up the phone and dialing your friend's number becomes tougher and tougher as every single day passes by?

Well, you have hit what we call "adulthood".

This is the time in your life when you have completed your studies at your college and now you are ready to work in companies around the world.

It's quite interesting to know that you have actually completed your education, and now you are actually free to do what you always wanted to do, i.e., live your life to the fullest.

Now, this can be a more personal question to answer, if we want to know what living life to the fullest means to an individual. There can be several different ideas about that, and it's ok if none of the thoughts agree to one point.

So, as we step out of our comfort zone of universities and colleges, we step into the corporate world, which can be both nice and pricking at the same time.

Remember the time when you shifted the first time in your life to a distant state for work, and you felt alone without your family and friends and anyone who meant something.

To get out of that loneliness, you could go to have pizza or watch some Netflix series.

Life here is something that we all haven't experienced till now.

Until we step into corporate offices, we are not actually aware of the real purpose of all those study years. Starting from your kindergarten to your class 12th and then your graduation, everything seems to have passed at a slow pace.

But now when you have started working, and now you should feel freer, you observe a kind of stickiness in your life.

There was a time when you could have connected with friends and family members whenever you wanted. Now, you are more of a person without many contacts.

Connecting with friends would also make an appointment, as we all are going through the struggle in our daily lives.

It's great that there are reels on YouTube and Instagram, which keeps us all engaged, or else we all would have connected again.

Yes, the above one is sarcastic. This is because we all have become so self-centered right now, that we don't even take time to ask if someone is ok. There was a time when letters used to take so many days to reach us and we used to sit back and read them in our leisure hours.

But with the advent of technology, which probably seems to have connected us, has actually disconnected us on a human level.

Maybe we were not always happy with connections.

The above image tries to show exactly the same. There are some things in life that we all need to understand, technology hasn't made us disconnected, but it has become like that because on a more human level, we want distance like the letters used to provide.

Relationships like butterflies need time and space to grow. You cannot force a connection with anyone in the world, that just can't happen.

The only thing that you will get is hatred.

The same happens with marketing. Marketing is not only about creating products and promoting them. It is about having a trustworthy relationship with the client.

You should solve some issues and provide some insights and also provide some value to clients in order to win their trust.

As we grow old, I am talking about after we have reached to our adulthood, we all seem to observe a bit of distance creeping in. This is because all we want to do is promote what we do and what we have achieved.

We are not giving ears to our friends and family members.

We need to understand, what is happening in their lives and how we can add value to them. This is a basic human thing that we can do to create a connection with the person, that we are communicating.

Other things will start falling at their pace.
