Blockchain is a term, that is used in every household these days. This all started with Bitcoin, which was invented by Satoshi Nakamoto, who is an unknown person or group of people.

Satoshi Nakamoto created bitcoins with an old technology, which was used during the start of the internet across the world. But he tweaked this system in a way that it eliminated the need for a party to keep track of transactions.

This was important because this technology was now able to work on its own, without any banking party to keep a track of transactions happening on the blockchain network.

What is a Blockchain Technology?

Blockchain is a network of computers that are connected in a way, where each computer (node) has the same copy of a distributed ledger. This ledger is used to track all the transactions that take place on the blockchain network.

Also, information about where the cosmetic product has come from or where it has originated, and where its packaging was done, to check for flaws with regards to the quality of that product is one such example of its usage.

This technology allows consumers to access the product's entire history and verify its authenticity by scanning product tags or checking the product details on the blockchain.

5. Patent and Trademarks of Cosmetics Brands: This is again an important thing, as most people around the world are just losing money because they can't file a patent or trademark on the brand or formulation that they have created.

With the help of blockchain technology, it will become much easier for people in the cosmetics industry to claim their formulations as the record will be in the blockchain network itself, which will help in tracing back the rights in case of formulations or trademarks.

6. Ownership Information: This again is important to understand, because the patent is one thing, and the ownership of the formulation is another. Information like who created a formulation can also be saved on blockchain networks, which will help people in understanding, who created the same and who has its actual rights, which will help us in incentivizing the ownership as well.

7. Research and Development Progress: These days, only companies and big firms know how much raw material was wasted on testing a particular property. There is no regulation on the pollution it might be causing.
