Several nations around the world have come forward to get rid of pollution-causing things, still, there is a long way to go as this earth where we live has a potential to recover from anything and it doesn't matter if there is a lot of pollution, the only organism that is going to suffer is the human civilization and that too because of our own mistakes of not taking care of the pollutants across different environments.

Types of Pollution

1. Air Pollution: Air pollution occurs when harmful substances, such as particulate matter, gases (like carbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide), and volatile organic compounds, are released into the atmosphere. Sources of air pollution include industrial emissions, vehicular exhaust, and the burning of fossil fuels.    Some of the examples of air pollution issues can be seen in Delhi where air pollution is so prevalent that smog gets stuck in the air and it looks as if there is fog in Delhi but it is actually the mixture of dust, air pollutants, and water vapors. These are extreme cases and their effects are also bad because these result in several people having issues like cancer and other respiratory issues.
    
2. Water Pollution: Water pollution happens when contaminants, such as chemicals, heavy metals, sewage, and pathogens, enter water bodies like rivers, lakes, and oceans. It poses a severe threat to aquatic life and can contaminate drinking water sources, leading to health issues in humans.
   
   Water pollution is one of the major issues because it leads to several diseases that actually make our immune system weak, and when we are not having access to clean drinking water, in that case, we end up weak and mal nourished, which is one of the biggest issues around the world these days. This is also because water is a necessity that is needed by everyone in this world and access to clean water should be a fundamental right of every single human being, but it also becomes our responsibility to do the same or else it may result in issues like typhoid or other diseases.
    
3. Soil Pollution: Soil pollution results from the introduction of pollutants like pesticides, heavy metals, and industrial chemicals into the soil. It can affect crop productivity, harm terrestrial ecosystems, and even lead to contamination of food crops.
   
   These pesticides have real issue as these get accumulated in our food also, because of which we end up consuming these pesticides because of bio magnification, and when this happens, we are stuck having meals that are unsafe and may result in bodily disorders and hormonal imbalance. Several researches has also shown that regular use of pesticide based food sources have resulted in delayed brain growth of children.
    
4. Noise Pollution: Noise pollution is the excessive, unwanted, or harmful sound that disrupts the natural environment. It can have detrimental effects on human health, leading to stress, hearing loss, and sleep disturbances.

Causes of Pollution

   Even if we talk about the industries that are polluting our environment, they are able to do so by the continuous support by some of the people in power, because of which the overall growth of people of the nation gets hampered because most of the time they all are dealing with ill effects of the pollutants that pollute our environment.
    
2. Transportation: The combustion of fossil fuels in vehicles is a major contributor to air pollution. Exhaust emissions contain harmful pollutants, including carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter.
   
   Similarly, the electric vehicles which are said to be a boon to human society are not that clean, because electric vehicles have already started taking more and more power and this has also put pressure on the power plants that are using fossil fuels to generate power. Even nuclear power plants have to dispose of their nuclear waste which is not an environment-friendly alternative to generate enough power to power all the electric vehicles on the earth.

As we discussed earlier, not even nuclear waste is easy to dispose of, and when we talk about our normal waste, you should see the garbage mountains that are created to dispose off the garbage in metro cities. Those look like giant mountains at night but during the day we can see the garbage that has created those mountains and it becomes difficult to curb infections and mosquitoes because of the same.
