Ranking your website on the first page of Google is a dream come true for most new bloggers, and this is also a gateway to the new opportunities that the world of blogging opens.

But why is it so difficult to rank on Google's first page?

        The answer is simple but sometimes difficult to implement. You are not able to rank on Google's first page because of below mentioned reasons;

        1. Your website is relatively new
        2. Your website is in Google's Sandbox
        3. Your website doesn't has the amount of content that is required to rank
        4. Your website doesn't has unique content
        5. Your website is slow
        6. Your website is not userfriendy
        7. Your website doesn't serves the user search intent

Out of these, the 7th point about user search intent is one of the main reasons why your website is not ranking on Google's first page.

Having said that there are several blogs that keep on beating around the bush, and hence you are not able to get a clear-cut idea about why your websites are not ranking. Below are some of the ways by which you can get your websites on top of the Search Engine Result Page.

        1. Write Unique Blog Posts: Before you start writing blogs or adding content, just go through a simple Google Search and see if the content that you are writing is already there or not. If the content you are going to post is already there, just ensure that you make the content more detailed and have as much information as possible.

This is because search engines like Google want to serve users with the best possible content and they ensure that by checking how many people are actually reading your content and if your content is engaging or not.

For this make sure that you have a great heading, which is not used before. Go to the search results page and explore the ways by which you can modify your heading in such a way that it is similar to your blog post but also unique in a way that others haven't used before.

        2. Post Blogs Regularly: Another main reason why I have seen people losing the game of getting on top of SERPs is that they are not consistent enough. You will have to understand that posting content day in and out is the reason why a website grows and starts making profits.

There are people out there who say that you should not post more than a number of posts and that you should focus on quality alone and post at regular intervals, but try to understand the fact that those all people have already made fortunes and now are churning the cash cow.

For a beginner like me and you, you will have to keep posting blogs on a daily basis. I have seen people posting more than 10 blogs per day to achieve the success that they achieved.

Now I am not saying to blindly post anything and everything under the sun, but ensure that you are posting at least one article each day to make your website come on top of the search results faster. This will also help you in developing your writing skills and hence you will be able to write more articles on a daily basis.

        3. Collaborate with other bloggers: When you are new, the one thing that you can do is collaborate with other bloggers. May it be guest posts or simple and crisp articles. Anything that can provide you with a backlink and make your website page rank with their articles is what is required.

        4. Write on Websites or Web portals that already have Google News Approval: As a new website owner, you will not receive Google News Approval in a day, as you will need to have a set number of content on your website.

Therefore, it is better to post your articles with a small link on the website that already has Google News Approval. For example, thewiki Network. You can post your articles in the bookmarks section and link your websites in the link submission section.

And when the article will get indexed by Google in a few minutes (as it has a Google News Approval), then you will easily be able to attract Google Crawlers to your website. This will also help you get backlinks as well as your website will get indexed quicker. Just ensure that you post at least 600 words when you post your link and that your articles should be unique.

This is important to avoid any kind of moderation as plagiarism is not accepted in any of the websites or social media platforms.

        5. Share as much as you can: One of the best ways to get your articles get more traffic is by sharing it. Don't self-judge your articles or your abilities to reach more people in the world. Keep on writing and sharing your articles again and again as you don't know when your article will become famous and hence attracting search engines to index your websites.

This you can achieve by creating your fan groups on WhatsApp or just through email marketing. I also suggest to post frequently on social media websites because those websites also have good Google's trust and hence help in attracting the crawlers.

        6. Check if your robots.txt file is allowing the crawlers: I have seen it many a times when people with half knowledge created a website and forgot to keep robots.txt file in enable status, because of which they are not able to receive crawlers that index your pages.

Google and other search engine pages also respect your privacy and if you have kept your robots.txt file in disabled status, in that case Google Crawlers won't crawl to your webpages and hence it will never be possible to rank them.

        7. Serve to user's intent: This is one of the most important aspects of blogging because if you are not serving as per the user's intent then you will always be beating around the bush. For example, if you are creating articles about your brother's day to day life, and your article always starts with the name of your brother, then there will be almost no one who will ever be able to find your articles.

On the other hand if you are writing about how your brother prepares for exams or if you are writing about best places your brother went on New Year, then it will have good chances of being searched. This is important to understand because if I am searching for rice and you are writing about pulses then I will never be able to find you because we are catering to different queries.

Therefore it is important to understand what your target audience might be searching and write about the same on a day to day basis so that you are able to cover as many topics as possible in the same domain.

        8. Make your website fast: I have seen several people using high quality images on their websites which usually takes time to load and hence disrupts the speed of your website. So, to ensure that your website is served fast to your target audience, keep your images to a bit lower versions. I am not saying that these should not be readable but the images should be on a lighter side.

Having said that, also check if there are some other elements that are not working properly on your website that you can modify or remove to make it work better.

        9. Make your website responsive: Several people forget the fact that around 90% of the people using internet access it using their mobile phones, and hence your websites or blogs should be responsive to the smaller screens as well. This is again important because search engines usually take this parameter also into consideration. So add the meta tag in your wbeiste's HTML to make it more responsive.

        10. You are not using SSL: SSL certificates are also very important to ensure that your website ranks on Google and that too on top of the page. This is because it is one of the parameters that Google and other search engines take into consideration. They want to serve pages which are safe to use and which keep all the data flowing to them encrypted.

Therefore, invest in SSL certificates, which look like a padlock on your website when someone opens it.

Also, no one wants to open a website that Google says is insecure. Hence you should definitely try and get hold on to that padlock that can revolutionize your overall digital marketing strategy as well.

Although these are some of the ways by which you can get your content on top of the SERPs, but ensure that you try these all methods for at least 3 months and you will definitely see the difference. But this is also easier said than done because these all steps have several substeps that you get to know when you hop into the world of website development and digital marketing.

On the other hand, if you are able to follow the above steps, you can definitely see the difference in the amount of exposure that your website gets.

There are several definitions of a blog.

There will be people, who will tell you that Blogging is a way to create websites and add content to make money online. But this is not what Blogging is in actuality. Let's try to understand by learning the basics.

blog (a truncation of weblog) is an informational website published on the world wide web consisting of discrete, often diary-styled entries, which are also known as posts.

As you can see through my writing style, that I am not only trying to explain what blogging is, but I am also trying to connect with you as a reader to guide you as if I was saying these all things directly to you.

These posts may also be displayed in reverse chronological order so that the most recent articles or posts appear on the first page of the website.

Before 2009, blogs were usually the work of a single individual, occasionally of a small group, and often covered a single topic or subject. After 2010, several Multi-Author-Blogs appeared on the internet.

These MABs (Multi Author Blogs) were not only restricted to newspaper forums, but also consisted of Colleges, Schools, and other collaborative organizations.

The rise of Twitter and other microblogging systems helps integrate MABs and single-author blogs into the news media. A blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Everything started with the explosion of the world wide web across the world in the late 90s. The emergence and growth of blogs in the late 1990s coincided with the advent of web publishing tools that facilitated the posting of content by non-technical users who did not have much experience with HTML or computer programming.

Previously, knowledge of such technologies such as HTML and FTP had been required to publish content on the web, and early web users, therefore, tended to be hackers and computer enthusiasts.

Websites started becoming more dynamic over the years, allowing visitors to leave online comments, it is this interactivity that distinguished the blogs from other static web pages.

In that sense, blogging can also be seen as a form of social networking service. Indeed, bloggers not only produce content, to post on their websites but also often build social relations with their readers and other bloggers.

So, one can say that blogging is a means to provide content to people around the world. It is not only a means to earn money, but also a means to spread knowledge and wisdom to the searcher.

This is what blogging in essence is, and this is how it should be treated.

When websites and the internet came into existence, its main motto was to provide a platform for people around the world to connect. This also encourages everyone to share their wisdom and knowledge with others who might be looking for it.
