      Travelling is a way out to help oneself to develop his/her personality! Everyone in today's world has to travel out of compulsion for work or otherwise, but travelling should be taken as adventure to make it a joyful experience.Travelling to different places, is a rich experience in itself and it provides an opportunity to the traveller to know the the world as it is! A traveller always feels on top of the world if he enjoys his travel.

        Every one of us sometimes in life has thought of traveling. Traveling to the parts of the world that we have never visited.

        I too had thought of doing it, and as a result, I find myself in Serbia, which is not one of the most famous regions to be in, but for sure beautiful.

        I have always thought of traveling to my motherland, i.e., Kashmir, which is obviously on my bucket list. But to be honest, one can only start traveling, if we have enough funds to do so.

        Being away from home is not what looks challenging, but after some time, when you start feeling lonely in a distant country, you suddenly realize that it is better to be in your hometown and live under the shade of those trees that you were familiar with.

        But there are several things that you learn while traveling, and it's not just any learning, but a practical experience, that I would like to talk about today.

        Through travel, our feet learn how to form their own paths
        The more time we spend away from familiar routines, the more we learn to embrace the unknown and let ourselves wander in the vastness of mother nature.

        When we travel, we can connect with ourselves on a different page altogether, which helps us identify the best and the worst on our own.

        1. You are not biased while you travel;
        There are so many things in our society or a region that you belong to which might make you biased. Traveling helps us get disconnected from all those ties and cultural biases.

        It helps in understanding, which parts of your culture you love and which one you want to change.

        It is just like leaving your comfort zone and going out to explore all the good and bad things in the world or the region that you are going to, but without judging (ofcourse).

        2. No connections with loved ones;
        One is known by the company he or she keeps. This means that so much of us is built because of the perceptions of family and friends. You grow up being a certain person and those around you tend to see you in a certain way.

        This again sets you up with societal expectations, and you may not be able to explore what else you could have evolved into.

        When you are traveling, people don't know and they don't expect you to behave in a certain way, because of which you don't have stress to behave or be in a cocoon of expectations. Therefore, you can be whatever you like, and explore new ways of evolving into a better self.

        3. You realize that you don't own anything;
        While you are traveling, you realize that you can live without your home, your car, or even anything materialistic thing. There is so much of your physical and mental energy, your resources, and your spiritual energy that connects to your physical possessions.

        Removing your possessions can feel like we are removing parts of your soul. It is really hard to think of the process of living with just a suitcase, but once you do, you will embrace more and more of it.

        It also helps you learn how to be resourceful and hence you can be more clear on what you are spending, as you cannot take much while you are traveling.

        4. You start realizing that change is the only constant;
        Change is the only constant. This is best learned while we are traveling.

        And this is because you are never 100% sure of what is going to happen in the next bus ride or in the new state that you are traveling to.

        You may be struggling because of language barriers, or you may also enjoy a beautiful waterfall view that no one has ever discovered before you.

        5. You start understanding your strengths and weaknesses;
        There is no better way of knowing what your strengths and weaknesses are than traveling.

        Your experiences teach you a lot of things about yourself. You may discover a new skill that you were not aware of that you possess, and on the other hand, you will also be able to identify things that you need to work upon.

        6. You learn to be nice to strangers;
        Anyone who is not nice to strangers is never a good traveler. This is because you never know who will come to your rescue in a different region altogether. This could be anyone from a mere beggar to anyone doing their business.

        Have you felt blessed, while you are on a road trip, trying to understand where maps are taking you when someone comes and helps you with your heavy luggage and also guides you with the directions? These are those nameless friends that will go beyond their means to help you out. reach your destination.

        7. You realize that most beliefs are mandated by our circumstances;
        We have certain perceptions that are formed because of our environment and the situations that we face on a day-to-day basis. While we travel, we are exposed to different perceptions and ways of doing things.

        Understanding that everyone has a different upbringing and sees the world differently expands our acceptance of others. Maybe there isn't anything right or wrong, only two communities with a different point of view. Always remember,

        5+2=7 and 4+3=7, It's more of different perceptions, rather than anything else

        8. You start taking relationships easily;
        While you are traveling, it is not rare to make a best friend overnight, spend an awesome time together, and then separate again without meeting at any time in the future.

        We start understanding that, the quality of relationships is not directly proportional to how much time we have spent together, but how much happy we were together, even for an evening.

        Conclusion;
        Traveling is part of everyone's life.

        Some people travel to far-off places, and some have to travel to the next neighborhood. The difference is all about how we take that opportunity to develop ourselves. This is because traveling is the best way to gain experience, which is in turn one of the best ways to develop ourselves.
