Does anyone knows why Kashmiri Pandit's celebrate the Birth of Lord Krishna on the 7th Day of the Lunar Month or Saptami (Sattam)?

Just curious. KP's celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna on the 7th day of the lunar month (saptami/sattam). However, the rest of the country celebrates the 8th day of Janamashtami.

Kashmiri Pandit Community celebrates Krishna Janamashtmi on Sapthami and keeps fast on the 7th day of Badrpadh Krishna Paksha.

The reason is that we keep fast for the whole day and wait for the arrival of Bhagwan Krishna, as Bal Gopala was born at 12 at midnight on the 7th and 8th day of Badrapadh Krishan Paksha, and the fast used to end after the birth of Lord Krishna, and after seeing the rising of the moon in the sky.

Janamashtmi( zarm satam ) is an important festival in Kashmiri culture and it was celebrated for 3 days.

1st day for preparation etc. And Krishna Janki was also taken out through the city streets on the 1st day of the three-day festival.
