Opinions are a reflection of one's value.

If your opinion is that, "Some communities or people are vermin". Then that is a reflection of who you are as a person: Racist.

If your opinion is that your personal choices and religious beliefs should be used to bind and subjugate other people and take away their rights, then that is a reflection of who you are as a person: Zealotic.

If your opinion is that the people who take money from the poor to give to the rich should be given more power to do so, then that is a reflection of who you are as a person: Greedy.

Sure some opinions are arbitrary: If in your opinion chocolate is gross and green is the superior color, then nobody cares!

But when your opinion deals with how you view other people, that is a reflection of how you also TREAT those other people, and whenever you treat others as harmful, then people are going to dislike you. You are being misanthropic and anti-social when you do so.

So, that's why people hate the person who takes decisions for others and also think that everyone should think like him or her.

Because for any decent human being, their rights end when someone else's begins but instead of respecting others and treating them as human beings, they are trying to take away those rights, thereby treating them as inferior.

That is unjust. People tend to hate injustice.

So that is why people hate other people with certain opinions: because opinions are a reflection of who that person is as a person. Which is all good for colors and flavors, but no good when it comes to the rights of other people.

How should one react to differing opinions?
Now, this becomes one of the most important questions because several times it has been witnessed that people who do not agree with what others are saying, just tend to become aggressive and protest violently.

There is no reason for people to become angry. Everyone has a right to speak, and they can speak and they can have any opinion, but it is we who will have to be calm. Because being violent and aggressive is not a solution to any issue.

Many times people who differ in opinion may be correct about something, and in that case, if we shut them up, then we will also not be able to open our minds and see a different perspective, which might be true.

There are issues in every nation, community, or locality, and hence there are different opinions, but if we keep on fighting and hating everyone, we as a human won't be able to develop, and will only lose our hard-earned money in restoring everything that is damaged because of the wars and fights.

Hatred & War has never brought anything good to nations, and rich or powerful people are only to gain from hatred & wars.

The common man, on the other hand, suffers daily, and we have the proof worldwide. These are the normal people that get affected, and not the politicians or diplomats.

In the end, one should understand that no argument or opinion is worth a fight or war.

There are more than 7 Billion people in this world, and are you going to be upset because of 1 person? Not worth it.
