Accidents happen every day, and accidents with small puppies are common around the world. But there are a series of events that take place with the death of a small puppy, which most of us are not aware of.

It is even familiar in our households to kill small insects or something that can harm us, but when a puppy is dead, we usually feel sad because, it is a speechless cute animal, that never hurts anyone.

One fine day, I was removing my car from the parking lot, when I saw a few puppies running toward me. I tried pushing them back to their small den, and even picked some of them and took them to the small crevices where they were living. It seemed as if their mother was not there.

When I removed my car, I noticed someone calling me from behind, and at that unfortunate moment, I realized that I may have run over a small puppy accidentally. It was really shocking and sad for me, because I am a dog lover, and have always thought of keeping a dog at my home.

I even visit my family and friends and play with their dogs, but on that day, I felt really bad about what I did.

I should have looked one more time below my car, and that could have saved that poor puppy's life.

Having said that, some people came and they took the small body of that puppy and buried it at some place. But I knew, this wasn't the end of the havoc that have been created.

Sometime later, I observed that the puppy's mother has come, and she was searching for him in every nook and corner of the ground. I felt really helpless as I was not able to tell her that I have by mistake killed her child.

Then came another dog, that again seemed to be crying, and this mother shouted at that dog as if he has killed or thrown the dog somewhere. That was so sad to see. There was another puppy of hers that was outside the ground and was not playing at all, which was saved on that day.

It is really sad to see animals showing this kind of behavior, as it touches the heart of those locations, which may change you forever.

This was time, when I realized that when people buy dogs to raise them, they are also fetched from their mothers and given  to other people for money, and at that time also, their mother is just clueless of what has happened and where her child are gone.

Dogs are one of the most wonderful creatures created in this world, and when we see something like this happening, it actually feels very sad. I even realized the pain, because I was able to see the sadness and nervousness on the face of that puppy's mother, as she was traumatized by where her child has gone.

She was so shocked that she was shouting at every other dog in the vicinity, and I have seen every single dog smelling that poor puppy to find out where it has gone.

Although this is the story of a single dog that I have told, there are usually several dogs and other kinds of animals that are killed, maybe intentionally or unintentionally, but it is the aftermath that seems so sad because their family members or their teammates are not even aware of the fact that they are no more in this universe.

I don't know how much time it takes for dogs to recover from trauma, but I pray for her to get the strength to bear the loss.

This brings to another thing that I would like to discuss. The killing of animals for the purpose of eating. Is it really justifiable to eat animals?

Although I am a non-veg person, sometimes it always crosses my mind how much fear would be in the eyes and brains of all the animals that are taken to slaughter houses. I also feel bad when we have to cook vegetables for eating, but I think this is the law of nature, we cannot like only on water, we have to eat to be alive, and usually, one species's survival success depends on how better they can use other living organisms for food and other resources.

This is the confusion of life; You are told to love life and never hurt anyone, but you are killing plants and animals around the world to survive, and there is no other option.

There can only be 2 things to save our mental health in this case. If you have hurt anyone accidentally, then try to help that animal or person, and move on, because you cannot change the past, and you cannot just dwell upon those thoughts every single day, as it will consume you and you will not be able to live your future.
