Solid Antiperspirant Formulation

Raw Material - % By Weight

    • Carbowax 400 - 3.50%

    • ​​​​​​​Rehydrol 11 - 15%
  3. Phase C
    • ​​​​​​​Lipamide SM - 27%
  4. Phase D
    • ​​​​​​​Witconol APS - 12%
    • D.C. Silicone Fluid 556 - 1%
    • Liponate IPP - 3.50%
    • Liponate PC - 1.50%
  5. Phase E
    • ​​​​​​​SD 40 Alcohol Anhydrous (200 Proof) - 10%
  6. Phase F
    • ​​​​​​​Fragrance - 1%

Preparation:

  • Weight out and add Phase A materials into a suitable steam-jacketed kettle equipped with variable or two-speed side-wiping agitator and begin moderate speed agitation.
  • Slowly add Phase B to Phase A with moderate speed side-wiping agitation. When the addition is completed, begin to heat combined Phase A and Phase B to 83C; maintain temperature and mix until Phase B is completely dissolved.
  • Slowly add Phase C to batch using slow speed side-wiping agitation. Continue maintaining the temperature at 83C and mix until Phase C is completely dissolved.
  • In a separate container, combine Phase D ingredients and heat to 83C with moderate mixing.
  • Maintain 83C temperature and slowly add combined Phase D at 83C to batch using continuous slow speed side-wiping agitation. Mix until Phase D is completely dissolved.
  • Turn of€ the heat; drain steam from the kettle and allow the batch to cool to 78C, using slow speed side-wiping agitation.
  • At 78C, slowly add Phase E to batch using continuous slow speed side-wiping agitation. Mix until the batch is clear (approximately 3 to 5 minutes).
  • Add Phase F, that is the fragrance while maintaining the temperature.
