Beiersdorf has announced that it has agreed to acquire prestige beauty brand Chantecaille. 

Chantecaille will be managed separately as a complementary selective brand to La Prairie. The transaction is subject to regulatory clearance and is expected to complete in the first quarter of the year.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, although the US brand has been given an enterprise value of between US $590 million and the US $690 million, depending on the future development of the business.
