Kashmiri Pandits in Hyderabad

Hyderabad is the capital of southern India's Telangana state. It is one of the centers of Information Technology and Cyber Security.

Hence one of the areas in Hyderabad is also known as Cyberabad.

Kashmiri Pandits for several years have children going to different states for study and work, one of the states is Telangana.

Kashmiri Pandit Society as a whole believes in education, and most of the people in this community are literate. As a result, this has helped Kashmir Community to pave the path to its success.

After the exodus from Kashmir Valley, Kashmiri Parents emphasized the education of their children. This helped several of them to go out of Jammu and Kashmir region, and pursue education.

Education has helped them all a lot for being what they are right now. Having said that, the parents have sacrificed their whole life in ensuring that their children are successful and that they live a better life.

This continuous effort affected the community, where all the younger generations started moving out of Jammu for pursuing their careers.

While old people that are left in Jammu and Kashmir region regularly visit their children, and vice versa, still some families make so less that they just want to survive as a human wherever they are located.

Several families after they left their home towns, settled in metro cities like Delhi, Maharashtra (Pune and Mumbai), Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Gujrat.

Some of them also helped Kashmiri Pandits by providing them some reservations in the migrant quota, but now many people just go to these cities because of the quality of life that these cities offer.

After the removal of section 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, there is hope for further development of these Union Territories, as several companies from different industries have shown interest in setting up their establishments in J&K.

Having said that, Kashmiri People, especially the middle age and the younger generation who have moved to Hyderabad, have some common Whatsapp groups that anyone can join by request.

These Whatsapp groups connect Kashmiri Community, and also help each other when required.

If you are considering moving to Hyderabad, leave a comment below, and we can add you to the Whatsapp group, which will help you in finding jobs, and apartments, and will provide you update about several other important stuff.

There are some groups, which promote "Common Interest Groups" like that of Bagwan Gopinath. These all groups at the end of the day, help Kashmiri Pandits connect in Hyderabad and help each other when the need arises.

Several events also occur in Hyderabad, where people from Kashmiri Community meet together and discuss the updates that are taking place in the Kashmiri Society.

These events help in connecting and also the transfer of information and knowledge. Then some groups are targeted at the younger Kashmiri Generation.

These groups conduct sports events by contributing and booking playgrounds for cricket and football. These activities also help in knitting the bonds between the younger Kashmiri Generation.

Last but not the least, there is a group that also supports people by teaching them the "Sharda Script". This way kids get a chance to learn their mother tongue and they can communicate using the Kashmiri Language in their family.

Some festivals are also celebrated together and on video calls if someone has chosen to do Havan at their respective homes. This allows a feeling of spirituality to flow across the families that are living in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad as a city is huge, and Kashmir People are spread across the city, so someone will be located at Hi-Tech City and someone will be there in Banjara Hills. So these events provide an occasion to connect.

Are you thinking to move to Hyderabad?
Hyderabad as a city is beautiful, and the areas around the Hi-Tech city are growing in case of real estate and even in terms of beauty.

If you have planned to move to Hyderabad, you should think of renting an apartment around Narsingi or Manikonda area. Suncity is also good and has some newly constructed apartments that owners give for rent.

If you have planned to buy a flat in Hyderabad, then also these areas are good, as several big real estate companies like Rajapushpa, My Home, etc have beautiful luxury apartments in these areas.

Prices may start from 5,500 INR per square foot and may go up to 11,000 INR per square foot. Although prices seem a bit high, these are developing areas and will have all the amenities that are required for anyone to live in a city.

For Non-Veg people, there are no issues in Hyderabad, as Hyderabad is famous for Biryani, and other Non-Veg items like Shwarma, etc. Although there are a few restaurants that make awesome veg food as well.

The weather here in Hyderabad is either Hot or Very Hot, so be prepared for the heat. This is because Hyderabad is nearby to the Equator. Because of this, there are a lot of mosquitoes, due to which diseases with regards to mosquitoes are also higher.

But it happens to people who come from different states and don't know where to take apartments or PGs and end up taking a room that is not at a proper location, and where there is no proper hygiene.

So, if you require help with regards to searching for flats or even suggestions for the areas where you can rent a flat, let us know in the comments section below and we will help you with that.

Because of the heat, you should also try and avoid traveling during the daytime, and spend time indoors during the afternoon. You can go out and enjoy the wind that blows regularly after 7 PM.

After 7 PM, most of the areas around Hi-Tech City get a bit windy, which is not cold, but hot. This doesn't matter because even blowing wind keeps us refreshed. And heat is not that much during this time, and you can enjoy street food at this time.

What are the best places to visit in Hyderabad?
There are several places to visit in Hyderabad, but I will name some that I have seen and are beautiful;

  3. GVK Mall, Banjara Hills
This mall is around the city center, and although reaching here is a bit of hard work if you are living in Hi-Tech City, but once you reach there, you can also visit Hard Rock Cafe.

  4. Golkonda fort
Please only go on a rainy day, as it is hot in Hyderabad and you will have to remain outside to visit Golkonda fort. This fort is really beautiful, and its gate secures an entire city, which looks amazing.

This is a beautiful place in Hyderabad which is famous for depicting how movies are made, and many movies are also made at this place. You should go early in the morning as this is far from the city center and you will require a whole day to enjoy this place, as this is very big, and takes almost a day to cover.

  9. The Shack Restaurant
If you are around Nanakramguda or Hi-Tech City, then this restaurant is something that you should visit for sure. This is like a mini Goa trip with a ship inside a beautiful restaurant.
You can also enjoy candlelight dinner in an open area.

  10. Cafe Sandwhicho
