Darshan Kumar Monologue in The Kashmir Files Movie | Last Speech of Darshan Kumar in The Kashmir Files Movie

I saw an open sky.

There is heaven surrounded by beautiful Himalayan mountains, and on those mountains, a rishi (Rishi Kashyap) meditated.

Meditation means Research.

He researched so that he can extract knowledge from that heaven. His name was Rishi Kashyap, and that heaven was named Kashmir.

I saw Shankrachayriya travel from Kerala to Kashmir. He didn't have an airplane. He walked on foot from Kerala to Kashmir.

He meditated and researched the philosophies which would only be possible in heaven i.e., Kashmir.

Just like people from different parts of India go for higher studies abroad, similarly, the best brains from the nook and corner of India used to go to Kashmir to specialize in their domain and become Pandits (experts in their streams).

Abinav Gupt and Utpal Dev researched philosophy. Yogarishi in Gastronomy. Charak and Yambhat in Ayurveda. Sushruta in medical science, Kalidas in Sanskrit literature, and several others like Vishnu Sharma wrote Panchatantra.

Natya shastra that is also called the 5th Veda is written by Bharath Muni in Kashmir itself. Lalleshwari's Vakh were written in Kashmir.

Kashmir became the seal of quality. That's why Greeks said, "Kashmir is the cradle of civilization".

Kashmir was the "Silicon Valley" of the first millennial.

Several people say that this is a lie. But if it was a lie, then why did people from several nations come to Kashmir?

They came because Kashmir was the center of Knowledge.

Invaders of Kashmir knew that it was World Center for Knowledge, and one who has control over the Knowledge, he can rule the world.

But there was a problem. You can invade a place but you cannot invade the mindset of the "pandits (experts in their streams", who have a free mind).

Note:
There were several other beautiful and bitter truths that were spoken in the speech given by Darshan Kumar in the Movie The Kashmir Files, but the above paragraph is based on what I remember and obviously, it is not at all error-free.

Thanks for reading this small article.
