Why sometimes we find it difficult to write?

image

It is not necessary that we write whenever we feel like it.

Sometimes, we spend the whole day thinking, that we should have written something, and sometimes we just don't want to write.

Writing is a skill, and it has a lot to do with what is happening with us and around us.

We cannot just assume that a person who is fond of writing, will be able to write on any topic he or she wants. There are several things that come into play.

For example, most of the time when you are ready to write on some topic, that may be from your domain, then only you come across a tragic incident, that moves your heart, and then you are not in a condition to do anything.

Even when you start writing on the topic of your domain, or on the topic that you want your customers or readers to focus on, you most of the time end up writing on things that matter to humans more than anything else.

And I believe it is better to write what is happening with you and even around you because that way you are able to analyze situations around you in a much easier way.

Today I was fed up because I was not able to decide on a topic to write for several days now.

This is not who I am, and I actually have several topics to write about, but the issue is that I don't want to sound so bookish or technical today.

I wanted to connect with you guys, who have also started their journey like me, and write or publish articles on a daily basis.

Writing is about penning down your thoughts for self reflection.

Even if you write for a company or maybe about a particular industry. You are basically trying to understand what is happening in that industry or company. And this is true. Let me give you an example;

I was working on a project for a client, and the client had around 50+ blog posts that had articles of more than 40 pages. So that means around 2000 pages had to be written.

This is not something that you can do without passion. Because for every article that you write, you have to ensure that there is certain formatting, and the article is easy to read for web users.

Again there is something called WordPress. I don't want to defame it, but even after setting up a WordPress site, I had to use HTML sections to add content as its text editors were not working properly.

Now, to do that I had to read every paragraph because PDF had issues. I was copying the text and it was changing to Cyrillic text. This was so annoying that I had to do everything with images and all myself.

I was fed up, but there was one satisfaction, and this was because of the fact that I was able to deliver something that is far more superior than anyone else could have given.

Also, when I was putting content on the website, I was able to read it, and the article was also informative, and even interesting. So giving shout out to the content writer who had created such beautiful content.

The moral of the story is that you should like what you do or else you will always end up thinking what should I do.

And that is a really difficult situation because if you don't like to write about coconut, and you are deliberately writing because someone is going to give you money, you will be able to do it with average attention and hence average quality.

On the other hand, if you love what you do, or the topics that you are writing about, you will never be without topics. You will have something to write about.

What is the benefit of writing?
Now many people say, I don't have a knack for writing, and I write very poorly. I must say, even I write poorly, we should always try to write because it creates our portfolio, and also helps us understand what we want to do.

For example, if you are from the cosmetics industry and you are doing your job in an office or factory. If you also start writing, you will be able to create a portfolio for yourself, that is going to reflect what you know.

And say one day someone from some good cosmetic firm was searching for an article, and he or she came across the work that you have done. So, this will make him or her eager to meet you in person, because they know you are the person who has worked upon this and that you can only help in creating this product.

Conclusion;
Well, this writes up shouldn't have a conclusion, because I had just written this blog as I was having nothing to write about.

I still am not able to decide about the topic to write about, but have surely decided to keep on writing, because at the end of the day, this is work that I like to do, and I feel relaxed in doing so.

So everyone of you that likes writing or putting down words on paper - just do it. Do wait for anyone's approval and don't self-doubt.

Have confidence in you and write any thing that you want to write about.

Thanks,
