Let's reinvent the wheel: Submit your research papers on thewiki Yekjah

Imagination is more important than knowledge, as knowledge is limited, but imagination encircles the world - Albert Einstein

Taking the above quote further, we never know if we should be using someone else's work to create something useful for the world, as there can be penalties to several issues that can arise because of the use of the research that someone has done so far.

Why do we have to reinvent the wheel?
Try to understand this fundamental cycle. A human society grows, when;

  1. People do research and publish research papers
  2. Other people or someone who reads these research papers start working on it and start building on the same

Now, because several of the research papers are with organizations that are selling them for some profit to schools, colleges, universities, and other educational institutes, therefore, fewer people are going to have access to those research studies, because of which you will again have to invest human resources into those researches and then reinvent the wheel.

Education is fundamental right, and right to research and knowledge should be on top.

Why do we forget the point that all these research papers and studies greatly impact the overall society?
Let me give you an example;

Consider you want to explore Moon and other planets, but to do that you need to have access to basic research done on Gravitation by Newton, and if that particular research is with some organization that is selling the gravitation research for a hefty amount, then you probably won't be able to build a rocket in your life time.

Because you will have to do all the experiments and you will also have to define your own formula for gravitation, which will obviously be in your own research paper.

In a School or College University, the administration purchases licenses from these big organizations or publishers who publish scientific and medical research, and hence students are able to get access to the same, but when they pass out of college it becomes very difficult because again for continuing their research, they have to purchase the individual licenses.

How does that affect you?
I was going through a short video of a doctor that said that all the scientific literature out there is with for-profit organizations that provides licenses to the institutes, because of which the medical science remains 10 years behind to what they can achieve if they have full access to the research that is done by someone else, and obviously, it will impact everyone around the world and the humanity as a whole.

Similarly, it is happening with every other domain.

You take the name, HR, Engineering, Cosmetology, Archeology, or even Food Science, there are for-profit organizations that have research papers exclusive for people who can pay.

This is like putting a stop on overall human evolution because you are restricting the flow of knowledge.

The things that can be built within some months take several years because by the time scientists in a third-world country complete their research get to know that this has already been done somewhere in the world and that they have wasted important human and other resources on this work.

So what is the solution to this issue?
There is only one solution to this issue, and that is by reinventing the wheel.

As an individual, we cannot do anything to get all the research papers out in public, because those are already copyrighted and submitted to the organizations and publishers who know how to make profits.

Instead what we can do is we can start submitting research papers on websites like thewiki Yekjah which can become a database of all the research that happens in the world, and people can have access to those publications when and where they want.

One of he greatest benefits of this will be that people who are doing research won't have to depend on research papers that are expensive to get a hand on. Also, this will show the profit makers that people don't actually need their help to publish their articles. Experts can submit their research papers on open-source networks also.

But how will we know if the research is genuine or not?
Research is a research study done by someone who is willing to gain knowledge about something and also provides some outcome of the research. Although it will be at our own discretion if we get the same results or not, at least we will have research papers submitted and ready for use.

Currently what happens with several educational institutes is that most of the research conducted by their students to complete their studies is sometimes thrown out in the trash also.

I have seen several of my research papers thrown out in the trash during graduation and post-graduation, because educational institutes don't have enough space to keep a library of all the student research every year, but here is where technology can help us.

All the education institutes that ask students to make projects or conduct research studies, can submit a digitized copy of the research of their students that are approved, and those will be hosted here on thewiki Yekjah platform.

Researchers and students can also share their research papers in the form of blogs or PDF files in the File Upload section with a brief summary of the overall research. This will help in preserving the research done by those students and they can even revisit the same when they get old or if someone from their domain wants to have a look at the same topic to work on it further.

Imagine how fast human society will grow if we have an open culture about the information and knowledge.

There will be new breakthroughs in human societies every single day if we have information and knowledge flowing for free. I have seen struggling and I have even seen teachers and professors sharing websites with students that host research papers but obviously, those were considered illegal, and this is because they didn't have access to those money-churning websites.

There are people who are hacking systems to gain access to that knowledge base on a day-to-day basis for researchers and scientists, but we should understand that it is actually not necessary.

We should use the platforms that we already have to save our research studies.

So, do we still need to reinvent the wheel?
I am afraid, till the time we are able to get a hold of every research ever done, we will have to reinvent the wheel in some domains. But it is always better to start now. If you are working on a research study and thinking to publish your research paper, consider opening an account on thewiki Yekjah and submitting your work in the files section.

This will help other people that are looking for your research and will also help the human society grow faster.

For others, we will try to reinvent the wheel. We will try to do research by our own to publish our own findings. For example, we are going to do some studies to check why things fall on ground?

In the end its not about fighting with the system, but to create our own means to make knowledge available around the world.

What will be the benefits for the researcher?
As a researcher, you will have your own profile on thewiki Yekjah platform, and you will have all the research papers under youw own name. People can connect with you for the research that you have done and you can collaborate with them for further research.

Having said that, you will also be verified with a blue tick which will show that you are a genuine research scientist.

Also, registered users will be able to rate your research in your profile section by selecting the 5 stars option. This will show your credibility as well.

This is a fair way of submitting research papers because knowledge should not be only for the profit makers. This should be available to everyone around the world and then we will be able to see its benefits to the human civilization as a whole.
