People around the world travel, maybe because of studies or to earn money, but we do travel, and there are a lot of things that we learn while traveling to new places.

Here are a few things that you should keep in mind while traveling from Jammu and Kashmir to Hyderabad in general. Although these things are not necessary, these are a few things that will make your travel much better;

1. Hyderabad is Hot:
No matter what people usually say, Hyderabad is comparatively hot, even in winters when Jammu and Kashmir are chilling our bones, Hyderabad remains at a minimum of 21 degrees, which is quite bearable, especially at night.

On the other hand, days in Hyderabad are usually hot, and the hottest time is around the end of April to the start of June. So you may not require heavy jackets and inner to protect you from chilled nights. A simple hoodie might work for you.

2. Rent depends from location to location or from society to society:
Yes, this is true. When I shifted to Hyderabad a few years back, I found a 2 BHK in the outskirts, and that too in a builder floor, so I got a good deal of around 10k per month, but if you wish to live in a society, the rent prices are anywhere from 15k to 70k depending on the society that you are going to live in.

3. Hyderabad is not connected to any major tourist places:
Although there are several places in and around Hyderabad, you will always feel as if Hyderabad lacks connectivity to any popular places. For example, Pune is around 540+ km from Hyderabad which is around 11 hours drive, similarly, Goa being 600+ km is also out of reach if you are traveling with family.

But if you break your travel down into 2 to 3 days, then you can do some trips.

Some of the best places that you can visit around Hyderabad are;

4. You need a 2 wheeler or 4 wheeler to travel:
Although Hyderabad has good public transport, because of the distances and the heat, you require your own 2-wheeler or 4-wheeler to move from one place to another in the city. Plus there are constant traffic jams during peak working hours or rain, so you should plan your itinerary accordingly.

5. We have a Online Kashmiri Community Group as well:
As Kashmiri people are very small in numbers, most of us are connected through this platform or even via WhatsApp Groups. You can simply join by dropping your number in our community chat room and we will add you to the groups.

If this is your first time in Hyderabad, no need to worry, you will get all your answers in the same community group as well. We all are here to help you.

This small community group also helps in finding Jobs and other important resources that you may require while spending your time in Hyderabad. So feel free to ping us.
